After graduating Brown University Medical School, I traveled to India to study meditation, yoga, and homeopathy, before training in family medicine, internal medicine and emergency medicine in the United States, New Zealand, and Australia.
Overseas, I discovered Chinese medicine- exciting to me with it’s emphasis on the affects emotions, activity and food have on health. While trining in Emergency Medicine, I worked studying herbal effects on women’s health.
My first book, The Natural Hormone Makeover, combined Western and Chinese approaches to hormone balance. Soon after its publication I was sidelined by Lyme disease, and breast cancer. Using traditional and nontraditional treatments, I recovered fully.
This site is dedicated to sharing what I have learned.
